NS 2 - Bukit Batok MRT Station

So as I mentioned in my previous post, I was kind of busy with Erdinger's Oktober Festival 2010 at Swiss Club, but nevertheless, I managed to squeeze out some time, precious ice cream time to do a little review. Hehe.

R was on her way down to her gram's place, so we decided to a little review on the humble Northsouth Line Station, Bukit Batok. As most of you would know Bukit Batok for it's tiny and much useless West Mall (I stay right next to the mall, even the Macdonald's located at another block is much more useful, so don't try to debate with me), be also glad to know that on the second level of the tiny mall, you would find one of the four outlets of a rather famous ice cream parlour.

UDDERS - West Mall
1 Bukit Batok Central Link

#02-10 West Mall

Singapore 658713
Tel: 6862 2192

Mondays to Sundays: 11am - 10.30pm

Déjà moo? Heard this cow before? Well you've got to hear more about what they are all about! Udders focus on five simple criteria for their ice cream, Fresh, Home-made, Natural, Original, Healthy (hmmms, not sure about that one, but ice cream is no doubt healthy for the brain since it ups your mood!).

Slightly hidden behind retailing outlets, be sure not to miss out on Udders ice cream when you drop by West Mall in Bukit Batok! This is my favorite outlet of their four existing outlets, much due to the fact that I live right across the street and was able to get my own pints of ice cream daily back when my wisdom tooth surgery nearly killed me (in my own PJs and with disheveled hair as well as a swollen pork chop left cheek).

So, in an honorary post, I decided that the West Mall outlet (under Bukit Batok MRT) would be the first entry to post about Udders ice cream!

Some flavors you might want to give it a shot when you hop by any Udders Outlet would be:

Mao Shan Wang Durian
(King of Cat Mountain durian)
Connoisseur Range
King of the king of fruits, need we say more? It's either you'll live to love it, or hate it. So drop your caucasian
genes and grab yourself a cup!

Gila Melaka
(gula melaka, attap chee
)
Classic Range

Combination of gula melaka (palm sugar) with chewy bits of attap seeds (palm seeds)

Bailey’s & Bourbon
(bailey’s, bourbon)
Premium Range
Bailey’s Irish Cream combined with bourbon.

Choya Lime Umeshu Sorbet
(choya, lime )
Connoisseur Range
Japanese plum wine refreshed with lime.

Orange Choc Bitters
(triple sec, dark choc)
Premium Range
Dark Belgian chocolate generously spiced with Triple Sec, an orange liqeur.

Lychee Martini

(lychee, vodka )
Connoisseur Range
Lychees enhanced with vodka.

You might be wondering what's Connoisseur, Premium, and Classic. These are the ranges of ice cream at Udders, Connoisseur would usually be the liquor ice creams, Premium being the more "sophisticated" flavors without liquor but with a twist in their flavors, and Classic as the more commonly known flavors, or standard flavors.

So anyway, we decided to share a double scoop since I was in a rush elsewhere too, and we had Mao Shan Wang Durian + Alphonso Mango Sorbet (Rich and flavorful Indian mangoes).
Anyway mao shan wang is so good, it makes you orgasmic. It's so durian that one mouth of it was enough to make me nose bleed and cardiac arrest on the spot. As for the Mango Sorbet, I like it cause you can really tell that its purely made from fresh mangoes, there's a whole lot of difference from the regular mango flavoring made ice cream.

Anyway, as it's a fairly small outlet, they do not have enough space to open a cafe (told you West Mall was tiny!), but they do have free seating (shared with My Toast next door).

Since I stayed around the corner, you can bet on it that I'm quite the regular to Udders. Other flavors that I've tried are, Pear Sorbet (with bits of pear in it and puuuurrrfect for the hot weather to kill the heatiness), Green-Tea-riffic (Macha ice cream, very strong and thick flavor BUT there's this powdery after-taste that I personally do not like), Choya Lime Umeshu Sorbet (my personal favorite flavor, since it's made from my favorite liquor), and many others.

R and I also decided to sample out a few flavors, such as the Lychee Martini (tasted slightly weird, guess the liquor level isn't strong enough for alcoholics like us) and the Earl Grey (way too strong, honestly speaking. You can tell how strong the tea in the ice cream is just by looking at how brown the whole tub is). It was also kind of funny hearing the ice cream artist explaining to one of the customers about Earl Grey as "ang moh teh flavored".

Though I do not love all their flavors, I definitely do love Udders! (you can obviously see that from my face)

Other outlets of Udders include, Siglap (coming up in Kembangan MRT's entry), Kilat (coming up in the yet to be fully constructed Beauty World MRT's entry), and also Goldhill Centre (coming up in Novena Mrt's entry).

Do note that they also provide Ice cream workshop cum Buffet!

Slightly Lazy.

Made another quart of chocolate chip chocolate cream ice cream. Loving it.

Been working for Erdinger Oktober Festival 2010 the past few days, so I've been staying home resting. But fret not, look forward to an upcoming post for NS 2 - Bukit Batok MRT! (:

EW 23 - Clementi MRT Station

Today, we're doing somewhere I'm much more confident of not getting lost around as I'm highly familiar with the location, Clementi. I no longer stay here, but I did grew up high, and spent the first twelve years of my life running around naked in the neighborhood (of course not, the pedophiles that could have been chasing after me might have formed a long line of queue that stretched till Pasir Ris! Do you sense narcissism here? Hmmmms, I'd better reflect. )

Coming back to Clementi brings back nostalgic memories of the old fountain that used to be the attraction of the old and run-down place. I came down with THM today, secondary school best friend and still my best friend to date. (: Today, the area is almost newly refurnished into a brand new Clementi Hub, however, with much of the construction ongoing at the central area, it would be impossible to find us an ice cream parlour. However, please keep your hopes up as just a few bus stops away down at Clementi Road, is another unique ice cream parlour.

Mondays to Thursdays: 11am - 9pm
Fridays & Saturdays: 11am - 10pm
Sundays: 2pm - 9pm

Just along Clementi Road, a handful of bus stops away from the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, you would find a small stretch of shophouses along a residential area called Sunset Way.

Back in 2004, their very first outlet was set-up in Clementi Arcade, and popularly known for their unique hand-churning methods of preparing their fresh daily made ice cream, to ensure deliciously rich ice cream products.

In the past six years, the owners of TDS have definitely been very busy creating new flavors to attract more customers, and hence to date they have conjured a wide variety of up to 40 flavors! But of course, not every flavor is always available (and they would definitely try their best to keep up with the local demands of certain flavors).

Some seemingly weird, but definitely interesting flavors that you might want to keep a lookout for will be,

Pur-Pearl Rice
(Coconut ice cream with generous swirls of glutinous (pearl) rice, sounds absolutely brilliant for the Burbur Hitam fans!)

Wasabi Mango
(Spicy, sour, mango with wasabi, I wonder if it really hits the spot and bring you tears of joy.)

Utterly Avocado
(blend of avocado and gula meleka, very interesting!)

Lychee Martini
(Lychee juice + Vodka, nicely alcoholic, now you've got me anticipating! hahaha)

Chili Choc
(Chili and Dark Chocolate ice cream, hmmmms.)

Lime & Black Pepper
(First there's tangy lime, and then there would be spicy pepper. Yes, pepper!)

So as you can see, they have very interesting flavors, most of which I would say, are not for the ones who cardiac arrest easily. Anyway, we went down expecting a roller coaster ride in our mouths, with our taste buds knocked into confusion with the exploding clash of spiciness, sourness, and sweetness. Click here for the entire list of funky flavors!

Honestly I think sometimes I can be pretty unlucky, as sometimes I tend to get to an ice cream parlour and not get to taste out the flavors which I have been anticipating to try out for, nevertheless, THM and I got down to our own double scoop, Simply Chocolate + Green Tea & Red Beans.

Simply Chocolate
(just chocolate. and the color is so strong, that you will know that it is really simply chocolate.)

Green Tea & Red Beans
(sweet red beans folded into bitter-sweet green tea ice cream)

I liked the fact that they chilled their ice cream bowls so that by the time you reach you seats, your ice cream would still be nicely chilled and not already slightly melting. It's a small outlet, so it may get pretty packed sometimes, but during the afternoon while we were there it was still pretty alright.

The Cold Storage at Clementi Arcade is also made to cater to the residences around the area, so you would be able to find cooking ingredients that are harder to find in your regular supermarkets. THM shopped a little and I found several baking needs that can often be hard to find. You can get the Betty Crocker Chocolate Frosting here, Organic Cereals, Bakingmate Icing and Frosting, and even Chestnut Puree! (Alright, let's not digress, back to the main topic!)

As there weren't many choices today, (having a sore throat as least I die from cough-induced cardiac arrest, I decided to skip the Chempedek Jackfruit flavor.) so we decided on our favorite combination of green tea with chocolate (personal favorite concoction). I like TDS's green tea ice cream cause it's not powdery and overly domineering in the green tea taste, and the red beans even out the slightly bitter after-taste. Simply Chocolate was really good, strong chocolate. But I found it a little too sweet and hence we had quite a bit of leftover when we were leaving.

For more information, go on to:

Sunset Way is fairly easy to get to, simply hop onto buses 52/154/184 from the bus stop opposite Clementi central, and go in the direction of Ngee Ann Polytechnic/SIM. For the ones staying in the North, there is also the alternative way of taking bus 61 from Bukit Batok Bus Interchange. Either way should take you roughly about 10-15mins in total.

Getting to TDS is the tricky bit, after alighting you should find yourself in front of an aquarium store (fish hobbyists would know that the place is famed for their in-house bred pedigree Guppies and Goldfish). Walk along the road heading into the Sunset Way residential area, you would have to walk quite a bit in, after the stretch of shophouses simply walk along the road until you see a Cold Storage, or until you can visibly see the sign that says Clementi Arcade.

Of course, some of you lazy asses out there might find that the place can be quite inaccessible, as I suppose the location was decided so as to attract the rich ang mohs around the area. So of course, I managed to find a much more accessible ice cream parlour, which happens to be at Sunset Way as well!

Gelato Art @ Sunset
Clementi St 12

Blk 105 #01-16

Singapore 120105

Tel: 9734 6243

Sundays, Wednesdays to Thursdays: 2pm -9pm

Fridays & Saturdays: 2pm - 11pm

Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays

From the same bus-stop you alight to get to TDS, walk along the road heading inwards as well, simply walk pass the aquarium store, a few vet clinics and a Hainanese chicken rice store you would be able to get to Gelato.

What sets Gelato apart from the other ice cream parlours is that, gelato itself is a much more healthier form of ice cream, whereby it has a lower fat and sugar content as compared to regular ice cream, making it a healthier choice and no doubt a less sinful choice.

They have a wide range of flavors from fruitty flavors, to regular vanilla/chocolate flavors, to liquor gelato as well. They also specialize in Belgian Waffles (yum!). Some of the flavors you might be interested to try out are:

Russian Orange
(Orange + Vodka)

XO Cranberry
(Cranberry that has been soaked in full drunkardness of XO)

Guinness Gold
(Stout)

KahLua Fizz
(Coffee Liquor)

Yuzu
(Pomeleo sorbet)

Pink Grapefruit

Rocher
(Yes! Ferrero Rocher!)

Opened by Madam Rose Quek and her husband (they are a really cute elderly couple!), who attended gelato-making classes, this is a nice cosy spot to hang out with friends.

We did a little camwhoring here while waiting. Guess what did we order? Belgian waffle with double scoop! :D

We had Rocher + Strawberry Cheesecake. Rocher is really nice and strong in it's hazelnut taste, but less chocolaty in flavor as compared to the real Ferrero Rocher. The Strawberry Cheesecake is really nice, you can taste the mild and light sourness of the cheese, but unlike the more popular B&J's Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, this one has no cheesecake crusts in the ice cream to hype up your tastebuds. However, it does still pack a punch of the cheesecake flavor, and on top of that, you never feel sinful eating the ice cream since it's gelato!

Sad to say, Gelato Art @ Sunset does not have their own website to date, so it would be hard for you to find out more about the place, however, for more information you may drop them an email at:

joingelato@hotmail.com

Their current promotion features a free topping for all ice cream, from chocolate sauce to nuts and to dried fruits! While stocks last though, so get your aunty spirit and head on down! (:

EW 7 - Eunos MRT Station

Remember the first post I told you guys about me wanting to travel around Singapore (sadly, not the world) to locate the most accessible ice cream parlours and bring their address right up to you guys? Well, that has officially started today!

To prove that I am a man of my words, and that I am definitely not reluctant to pick up my lazy buttocks to the furthest point of Singapore, I went down to Eunos.

You must be wondering, there must be nothing there, NOTHING AT ALL (which is what most of the people in the West/North/South would be thinking). But you are WRONG.

There is actually a special place that you would be interested to visit,

picture taken from icecreamchefs.com

Ice Cream Chefs - Ocean Park Building
520 East Coast Road #01-06
Singapore 458965
Tel: 6446 6355
Mondays to Thursday: 1 - 10pm
Fridays to Sundays & Eve of PH: 1 - 11pm

Located along main East Coast Road, Ice Cream Chef is renowned for their brilliant idea for allowing your very own exquisite-ly flavored ice cream. You can make your very own creation of ice cream by selecting your choice of flavor and size, followed by your choice of mix-ins. The ice cream chefs at the creamery would then smash and mash your choice of ingredients together on the ice cold marble slab to create the tantalizing monster dessert that you would be enjoying thereafter!

Your very own ice cream, would also come with free Hershey's chocolate syrup!

The very interesting and amazing fact about Ice Cream Chefs is that they make their own ice cream flavors, and they range from several standard flavors to the more interesting local delights.

Some interesting flavors you might want to keep a lookout for are,

Berries Kiwi Fuz
(fusion of berries with kiwi bits, signature sherbet)

Creme Brulee
(caramelized sweet vanilla ice cream)

Durian Decadence
(so-called to convert Durian Haters to Durian Lovers, talk about Hate-crime control)

Kaya Lotee
(pandan kaya ice cream layered with bread crumbs, VERY interesting)

Passion Kiwi Fuz
(fusion of passion fruit with kiwi bits, another signature sherbet)

Their wide variety of mix-ins also include, Gummy Bears, Tim Tams, Hershey Chips, Mars, Famous Amos, and even Kinder Bueno! (now you get to enjoy ice cream while bueno-ing, isn't that nice?) Click here for the entire listing of flavors and mix-ins.

So anyway, I got down to Eunos MRT Station and hopped onto bus 13, but still got lost along the way somehow and ended up cabbing. According to the website for Ice Cream Chefs, Ocean Park Building is located beside St Patrick's School. However, if it's your first time visiting the area, do note that if you are alighting at St Patrick's, Ice Cream Chefs is located behind St Patrick's, and that Ocean Park Building is not really a mall as I initially thought, but instead a block stretch of shophouses. If you google the place, you would find that it's really near to Kembangan MRT Station as well (where you could take bus 13 too), but Eunos MRT Station would be nearer. On my way back however, I discovered that there was a much more clear cut route to get to the area, which is by bus 40 (to and fro Bedok MRT Station) where it alights right in front of Ocean Park. So you may choose this alternative route to get to the place, especially if it's your first time there. (:

Although their location is quite a frustration for the non-locals, it is still however a very smart idea to open their ice cream parlour near to an area with several schools within the vicinity, such as CHIJ Tanjong Katong, St Patrick's School, and Victoria Junior College. Students tend to hang out over here after school, to study, or to chill out with friends.

After finally having found the outlet, I got down to grab my own cup of ice cream before I started to melt from all that walking around. The thing about Ice Cream Chefs is that because they produce fresh tubs of ice cream daily, they tend to have limited flavors as a result (perhaps to prevent having too much leftover ice cream that might not taste good when less fresh). Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to get to try out the Kaya Lotee flavor which I honestly thought was very interesting. And much to my disappointment, there weren't any of the ice cream flavors which I mentioned above for sale today.

Instead, I got sampled the Honey Green Tea (green tea ice cream with a touch of honey) that was available today, but honestly speaking it tasted just like any other Macha/Green Tea ice cream with the exception that it was much sweeter than usual, and less of the powdery after-taste. As the other available flavors weren't very tempting, I got down to selecting my own concoction of ice cream with two flavors, Mrs Granny Smith (Green apple sherbet) and Orange & Lychees (fusion of orange with lychee bits).

My choice of mix-in was, (it's not hard to guess) Kinder Bueno. hehe.

Here's the lady mashing my ice cream concoction on the frozen marble slab, the traditional way of making ice cream much smoother and evenly textured. I had a double scoop, which consists of two flavors, and at $4.80 Ice Cream Chefs serve a generously large portion of ice cream. I almost thought I wouldn't be able to finish it all.

Here's the verdict of my ice cream:
Mrs Granny Smith Bueno-ing ft. Orange Lychees Mash-up
I like how everything goes together, very fruity, yet not so sickening after having too much. The issue with having sorbet sometimes is that it gets too sour to finish with, but with the green apple sherbet, it isn't the case as the sourness is too strong, and the creamy finish balances everything nicely. The Orange Lychees has a superbly refreshing taste and tantalizes you taste buds, with the occasional lychee bits bring up the funk. The choice of kinder bueno was good, since the chocolate itself has a creamy rich hazelnut taste, it doesn't taste weird for me but instead makes everything go well together.

Best of all, because the ice cream is mashed up on the marble slab, it gives it the extra smooth and rich texture, and goes to show that they really do have good ice cream. Really worth it at below five bucks (not to mention the generous portions).

Looking around, I noted that the ice cream parlour has a really cute touch of pink to it's atmosphere. Everything from the signboard, to name card, to walls are pink. Even the marker they use for labeling their ice cream cups are pink. I'm not a fan of pink, but it's kind of adorable, in a certain way.

And you would also notice that the walls are adorned with photographs of regulars/customers, giving a very cosy touch, making you feel welcomed and at home in the store while enjoying your ice cream. Needless to say, I had an enjoyable time while I was here today. (:

Sad to say, Ice Cream Chefs has only one outlet to date, so if you are really interested to try out their awesome ice cream, Eunos/Kembangan/Bedok would be the three nearest MRT station where it's most accessible to.

For more information, go on to:

Do take note that they have special Free mix-in promotions on Tuesdays and on your Birthdays, but only applicable for the first mix-in. (:

DIY Ice Cream Tutorial #01

I woke up this morning to a bed of sweat and nearly died from dehydration due to crazy heat in Singapore (not like that's not going to happen one day, say you wake up and you find your spouse/siblings melted in bed right next to you/melted in bed right in the room next door. but definitely not today, nor to me.). So being the extremely lazy me, with extremely influential lazy friends, our laziness merged and I spent my afternoon trying not to melt in my room.

In order to do so, I decided to make my own ice cream. (Yes, how can any ice cream lover not know how to make their own ice cream?! )

Now this is a fairly simple recipe, and it's for the chocolate lovers:

DIY Chocolate Chip Chocolate Ice Cream
(Chocolate cream ice cream with a generous dose of Hershey's chocolate chips)

  • 1 Cup Meiji Chocolate Milk (I use Meiji cause I find that it's not very sweet, after boiling milk would taste sweeter as the lactose breaks down)
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar (You can use up till 1/2 Cup depending on the sweetness you would prefer)
  • 3 Egg Yolks
  • 3 Pinch of Salt (You'll need it to slightly bring up the flavor)
  • 2 Cups Whipping Cream
First of all, you'd mix the milk, sugar, salt and egg yolk together in a bowl until even.

Next, set the mixture in a saucepan and keep it over a minimum heat (small flames) until it reaches a soft boil. (How you'd want to be sure that it's boiling is when the foam caused by the egg yolk disappears and creamy swirls of tiny bubbles start to appear, making your mixture look just like a fresh cup of hot chocolate.)

Remember to constantly stir the mixture while over the heat to prevent the milk from curdling and becoming charred at the bottom of the saucepan)

Transfer your mixture to a chilled metal bowl and set it to cool in the fridge, stirring every now and then to keep it evenly mixed. This procedure can be done up from two hours to up till an entire day, after which simply add in the whipping cream and stir the mixture evenly.

And of course, you'd wouldn't think that I've forgotten, have I?

The star ingredient of today, Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips!

Stir in the amount of chocolate chips you'd want to add to your ice cream (you wouldn't want to know how much I added to mine, just know that its deviliciously chocolaty.)

Set your ice cream to chill in the freezer, for two hours, take it out and mix the chocolate chips evenly with the ice cream again (you may repeat this step to ensure that the ice cream and the chips are fully even). Then leave it for the night.

Last but not least, after all that waiting, ENJOY!

Ben&Jerry's Chunk Fest 2010 - The Promontory

banner from tualobang.blogspot.com

After my first post last night, I woke up to a text message from R regarding the Ben & Jerry's Chunk Fest 2010! Now I did a little research on B&J (my personal all-time favorite brand for ice cream) and noted that there's been this Chunk Fest going on since as early as the year 2008 (not sure if there were events dated earlier than that, but that's what I managed to find off the net).

So the Chunk Fest occurs every September and each time they would showcase twelve new flavors from the States to their psychotically addicted fans (inclusive of me) in Singapore.

B&J is an American ice cream company and is a division of British-Dutch Unilever Conglomerate (meaning a multi-industry corporate that handles many consumer products, nearly died seeing those big words you know, my brain can only take that much with my daily brain freezing). So B&J's company actually manufactures frozen yogurt, sorbet, and of course their novelty ice cream products. Damn, Wikipedia is God like Google.

This year's Chunk Fest was held at The Promontory at Marina Bay, and since B&J is a unilever conglomerate, we went down expecting 12 amazing flavors to be flown in from the US of A.

So anyway, we got down to the location as indicated, The Promontory at Marina Bay, which is just beside One Fullerton Bay Hotel. The location was kind of weird, as it was not commonly known to many of the taxi drivers, and the entire field was not sheltered, hence when we first reached we were kind of annoyed, since the weather was gloomy and all, plus the cab fare was ridiculous with all that U-turn here and there. The previous location was at Fort Canning Park, which was honestly, much more manageable. But nonetheless, we looked forward to the amazing ice cream that was going to cheer us up.

The twelve flavors as anticipated, and one flavor would be staying in town for all of us ice cream addicts to savour. Honestly, I was really kind of spoilt for choice, as one can only eat this much ice cream, but still we got down to making selections since we might not be getting the chance to eat the same few flavors again.

And so R and I decided to share a triple scoop cup. (:

Here's what we had, as well as the verdict:

Boston Cream Pie
(Boston cream pie ice cream with yellow cake pieces, fudge flakes & swirls of pastry cream)
This was pretty good, but after awhile you kind of get sick of it. Since it's raw flavoring is no doubt vanilla, mixed with yellow cake (which has vanilla essence in it as well i presume) makes it taste really sickening after awhile. It could have been better if they added a little dark chocolate bits to balance out the taste I suppose. Let's hope the majority will not vote for this one.

Imagine Whirled Peace
(caramel & sweet cream ice creams swirled with fudge peace signs & toffee cookie pieces)
This, as agreed by both R and I, was a great choice. I like that the toffee cookie pieces make the ice cream chewy, but at the same thing you have the fudge peace signs (made up of chocolate as well) get it crunchy and really amazing. Yet another flavor which leads me to thinking that B&J have outdone themselves again.

Pomegranate Sorbet
(pomegranate sorbet, duhhh)
I'm a sorbet fan, but this was the worst sorbet I have ever tasted. Really gross. Extremely sour at first, and then after that it was just a torturous fever medicine/expired strawberry candy taste. It was nowhere near pomegranate. (It's definitely not going to stay.)

Then we got around to sitting at the mats placed over the grass patch (really economical idea, honestly. If they had a shelter put up, they could have made plans for rainy spells, if not, the participants could also use a little cleaner flooring to sit around, since dried up grass and leaves were all over the floor mats)

They had the Ver-Monster event ongoing, where teams of four were to pit their stomachs against the race of time and finish twenty scoops of ice cream as fast as possible.

I think this was the pathetic group that boasted about finishing their ice cream in forty-nine seconds, but ended up losing to the other team. Anyway, it was quite abit of entertainment fun, except for all the people crowding around them when the competition begun. Hence, no pictures plus we were too lazy to move. hehe.

As we sat around the area, we actually came to realize that it was actually a good location, with great scenery, a relaxing atmosphere, really good breeze, and as it was an open-field area we didn't feel very much annoyed with the possibilities of over-crowding happening. (that is, provided it doesn't rain. well it didn't after all, not sure if it did in the night after we left. Too bad for them if it did rain.)

Around evening they had the live bands up on stage. I appreciated the fact that they took the consumers' opinion in letting them pick the bands, but they should really filter the songs that the first band did. It floored the atmosphere, really. The mood was rather weird at the sitting area as we all listened to a Bieber-voiced version of Teenage Dream by Katy Perry and When Love Takes Over by David Guetta, and other Bieber-voiced songs. (I don't have anything against Justin Bieber, but if you have a singer who sings all of his songs with a Bieber voice in an acoustic cover, it's kind cancerous to the goosebumps on my skin you know.) So we moved off to sit elsewhere, and decided to head off before the second band even went up.

So before we left, I decided to get myself another scoop:

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough
(malt ice cream with gobs of peanut butter cookie dough & a peanut butter swirl)
Nice. I like the way it's saltish and not too salty with all the peanut butter, and how it's chewy and sticky and gooey in your mouth. Keeps me tongue-tied and wanting for a little more. hehe. Let's hope people vote for this one too.

They even went through the trouble of setting up a photo-taking area near the entrance, hence of course, the camwhores could have fun whilst enjoying their ice cream. Thoughtful. (:

Awesome photos taken by R using my camera. (:

Wait, there was this truck too. Really cute, but I still prefer the Volkswagen Van at Dempsey. We shall pay a visit there some day as well.

Here's how you could vote for your favorite flavor to stay at all outlets of B&J in Singapore, if you were there at the event and you tried out some really awesome flavors, go on to:

And vote for your favorite flavor to stay! And I'm off to make sure that the pomegranate sorbet doesn't get to stay. Hehe.

Until next time then. (:
